Description

PUGLIA – SALENTO – MAGLIE

“A unique residence where history, elegance, and authenticity blend into a living experience without compromise.”
In the most authentic heart of Salento, in Maglie, we offer for sale “Masseria Calamauri”, an exclusive historic masseria dating back to the late 1500s—a residence of rare beauty where the charm of tradition meets the timeless prestige of Apulian noble architecture.
The property, approximately 350 sqm of covered space spread over two levels, opens through an imposing gate leading to a large paved patio of about 400 sqm, laid with ancient Salento “chianche” stones—a striking space that immediately conveys the soul of the residence.
The ground floor stands out for its highly evocative rooms: spaces with barrel and star vaults, beautifully preserved and enriched with original details, antique fireplaces, and a majestic period oven.
The interiors are completed by a kitchen and a refined bedroom, ideal for enjoying an intimate and authentic atmosphere.
From the internal courtyard, a passage with a barrel vault in local stone leads to the rear garden of approximately 920 sqm—a private area enriched with Mediterranean plants, perfect for the creation of a private pool and elegant relaxation areas immersed in nature.
The first floor is accessed via a characteristic stone staircase adorned with valuable original frescoes of great historical significance.
Here, a bright dining room opens up, featuring double exposure onto large panoramic terraces that surround the floor, offering exclusive views over the Salento countryside.
The kitchen, distinguished by a dovetail vault, and two bedrooms—one with an en-suite bathroom—are designed to provide comfort and privacy in a setting of absolute prestige.
The masseria, currently inhabited, is in excellent structural and maintenance condition, making it an ideal solution both as a high-end private residence and as a charming investment in the luxury hospitality sector.
Maglie, an elegant town in the province of Lecce, is renowned for its historical heritage, noble palaces, and vibrant cultural tradition.
Its strategic location allows easy access to the crystal-clear coasts of Salento, making this property an exclusive choice for those wishing to live or invest in one of the most fascinating areas of the Mediterranean.
